R.E.S.T

Last week I was reflecting on R E S T (watch the video)

An emotive, perhaps dirty word for some

If you are an entrepreneur, business owner or simply a human being - you got the mail about how you need to ‘hustle n grind’ in order to be a success.

And if you are anything like me - you followed that advice to the tee for quite some time.

That is until you became frazzled, lacked inspiration, clarity, creativity and even kinda resented your business, you feel me?

The thing with R E S T is that you may struggle to find a happy medium

You’re either all in 

Or all out

➡️“Taking a rest day”
➡️“Taking a holiday”
➡️“Going on a social media detox”

Instead could you…..

  • Take an hour off for some me time

  • Create a schedule with breaks throughout the week

  • Implement stronger boundaries with SM (turn off the notifications baby)

You see R E S T is in fact the most productive thing you can do for your body and your brain

R estores/rebalances/recalibrates the mind, body, nervous system, adrenals - it does it all
E motions become more balanced - less need to bite the head off your partner for not loading the dishwasher correctly
S lowing down gives you more opportunity to enjoy the present and be in be-ing rather than doing
T ime out reminds you of who you are, what's important and what you care about

lastly, if you are struggling to rest - you feel guilty or on edge this is something to reflect on with kindness (it could be conditioning, a shadow aspect or a trigger)
